MinervaFlora Garden Tour
MinervaFlora is a subcommittee of MPCA dedicated to the beautification and preservation of Minerva Park. The annual Garden Tour is sponsored by MinervaFlora and provides an opportunity to tour private and public garden spaces around the village.
The 2026 Garden Tour is Sunday, June 28th from 1-5pm.

What to Know Before You Go
What to Bring:
Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring water to stay hydrated.
Parking:
Each home is in the Village and tour attendees are encouraged to follow all street parking rules. Please do not use residents' driveways unless invited to do so.
Friendly Reminders:
Each host garden has volunteered to open their homes for this event. Please ask as many questions as you want and enjoy their spaces. Please be respectful of their gardens, do not pick flowers (unless invited to do so), or wander into unrestricted areas. If you aren't sure, just ask.

Private Gardens
3081 Minerva Lake Rd
Mike and Sierra Loyacano recently moved to Minerva Park and are taking an existing garden to the next level. A new front flower bed project has just been completed.

Steve and Lisa Thitoff are long time Minerva Park residents with an established and peaceful garden, including hills of perennial flower beds, native plants, and a secluded shade garden. Featuring 3 new garden beds this year, give yourself enough time to see it all!
2985 Minerva Lake Rd
Shaun and Molly Hood have converted a large lawn into an outdoor oasis filled with flowering natives, large trees, walking paths, an herb garden, and a pergola patio. Don't forget to check out the shed in the back.
2964 Minerva Lake Rd
Todd Isler is a knowledgeable gardener with a vast veggie patch, fruit tree orchard, bee hives and so much more, all installed in 3 short years. Don't miss his unique grape vine display! This garden is proof that you can do a lot in a short amount of time.
2871 East Shore Ct
Paul Miller is a veteran gardener whose property includes a picnic table made from fallen trees, 7 compost bins, bridge to continuation of property across the water, stone collections from across the US, and a snapping turtle nest. So much to see!
East Shore Courtyard Garden
Designed, planted and maintained by residents for 18 years. All plants are perennial, and requires about one hour per week to weed and water. Used daily for basketball and coffee breaks on the bench.
2568 Wildwood Rd
Blaine and Lindsey Allen have a welcoming garden with native plants encouraging bees and butterflies. With spaces to sit and enjoy neighbors and friends, this garden sits on almost a half acre with a variety of garden spaces including natural composting, vegetables, and flowers.
Public Gardens
2888 Lakewood Dr, Mary Yost Garden
Maintained by MinervaFlora, this established garden is named for Mary Yost as a tribute to the Village and its beautiful green spaces, which she loved and tended to during her years as a resident.
5001 Farview Rd, Community Garden
A Master Gardener project led and managed by Village resident Lisa Thitoff, the garden plots are maintained by many Village residents. Talk a walk through the paths of raised beds! Much of the produce from this garden is donated to local food pantries each year.
