About the event
MPCA has partnered with the Village to coordinate Minerva Park Earth Day!
Confirmed activities:
- Litter pick up - MPCA will provide maps and supplies. Pick a section of the village and pick up litter!
- Free native plant seedlings available for residents to take and plant at home.
- Plastic bag/wrap recycling collection. Bring those Kroger and Target bags! All bags collected will be delivered to Green Haven Living who recycles the bags in exchange for plastic park benches around Uptown Westerville! This program in partnership with TREX.
- Compost Exchange - free 4 week trial for any residents interested in trying the curbside composting service.
- Recycling Information - what can you recycle in the curbside pick up? Where can you recycle other items?
- Plant Seedlings - weather and delivery of the seedlings permitting, we will have 350 seedlings that need to be planted throughout the village. Bring your gloves and garden clothes!
- Community Garden Updates - weather and supply permitting, we will be replacing several of the existing community garden plots.
