MPCA Meeting, Nov 13, 7 pm (at Huntington)
Luminary Making Party, Fri Nov 16 7 p, (Dani’s garage). We get together and make luminary kits to sell. There is wine involved.
MPCA Meeting, December 11, 7 pm ( at Huntington). We will hold officer elections, the elections were postponed from the September meeting.
MPCA Children’s Holiday Party, Saturday December 14 from 10-12, at the Community Building. There will be crafts, games, Santa, and lots of Holiday cheer! Also, you can pick up your luminaries at this event.
MPCA Carriage Rides, Sunday December 15 from 5-8:30. ( 1/2 hour earlier this year to accommodate more riders) . Edited 12/8-reservations are now closed.
MPCA Festival of Lights, December 16 to 22. Judges will view holiday lights and decorations this week and determine winners in the following categories: Best Classic Display, Best Entrance, Best Whimsical Display, Best Tree, Best Religious Display, Best Outline, and Best Star Shower Display. Winners receive newsletter mention, MPCA membership if not members, or a gift card if they are members.Let’s see those lights! I

Calling all of Minerva Park’s little ghosts and goblins! Our annual Children’s Halloween Party will be on October 26th from 10am- Noon. Crafts, face painting, games and snacks for the kiddos! Costumes are welcome! Hope to see you at this Spook-tacular event!

MPCA will host a Candidate’s Night event on Wednesday, October 23. The event will be held at the Hawthorne Gym, and run from 6:30-8:00. This event allows residents to ask written questions of the three mayoral and two (write in) council candidates. A moderator will ask the questions and ensure responses stay within allotted time.
I’m looking for volunteers to “host” the event. This involves greeting residents, and passing out pencils and index cards for questions. Also, the volunteers would collect the questions and sort our duplicates, then hand them off to the moderator. Finally, volunteers would help get folks out on time so that Hawthorne staff can clean up.
Family Fun Night is July 27, 2019
Due to extreme heat, this event has been postponed until Saturday, July 27.
Join us from 6 to 9 pm at the pool for fun, food, games, music, and the pool. Bring cash for the $4 admission, raffle tickets, beer, as well as hot dogs and hamburgers!

The Minerva Park Garden Tour is Sunday June 30,2019 from 1-5pm. Four residential gardens, 2 public gardens and a scenic walkway are scheduled for the FREE annual garden tour sponsored by the Minerva Park Community Association.
